Take A Break On A Colorful Porch In The Middle Of Downtown Vancouver
Porch Parade is a colorful public installation that invites locals and tourists in Vancouver to take a little break in the middel of a busy downtown environment.
Created by Chicago architecture office Design With Company, the series of structures was the winning entry to the yearly held Robson Redux Design competition.
For the occasion of the contest, walkability program Viva Vancouver closed part of Robson Street for motorized vehicles for three months. Porch Parade opened on 1st July and was open 24 hours a day. The project’s aim is to connect people and buildings in the city and create a lively and familiar atmosphere in the heart of Vancouver.
