Pixel Hotel Linz

Trend alert! Flexible hotels seem to be hot. In Austrian town of Linz, one of Europe’s ‘capitals of culture‘ for 2009, a flexible design hotel called Pixel Hotel has recently opened its doors. Playing on the idea of pixelation, the rooms of the Pixel Hotel are scattered across the city.

Six different spaces – a garage, a workshop, even a ship – were transformed into hotel rooms by young promising architects and designers. The results are nice: click here for a panorama view of one of the rooms. Unfortunately, sleeping in the Pixel Hotel is not cheap: prices start from 250 dollars per night. Breakfast included in nearby cafes.
