VLNR's Capsule Hotel

Some time ago we invited Denis Oudendijk and Jan Korbes of mobile architecture firm VLNR to give a presentation at our Pecha Kucha Night Amsterdam. They inspired the audience talking about creating interesting new stuff from old tires. Another VLNR project is the Capsule Hotel, which aims to establish a brilliant piece of easy accessible ‘garbage architecture’. People can rent a floating capsule (suited for two persons) from a reasonable price of 35 euros per night. “James Bond meets Barbarella”, according to the creators. The Capsule Hotel will be floating in Antwerp till May 24.
