Urban Farming In Tokyo

It’s always great to stumble upon little green oases in hardcore urban environments. Like this beautiful modular urban farm located in the middle of Tokyo’s vibrant Roppongi district, which was designed by the architects of ON Design Partners. Their farm consists of different glass box units that make up a great installation, and grows vegetables that are especially meant to be cooked and eaten in the adjacent restaurant.

I think that ON Design’s creation should be considered more than just a vegetable garden; it’s rather an exploration into a smooth integration of farming into the urban fabric.
