Turn Your House Into A Billboard
Mobile advertising network Adzookie has developed a new advertising concept that helps people with a killing mortgage. As a consequence of the financial crisis many people experience difficulties paying their mortgage. Changing facades into huge ads might be a solution. In exchange for turning your house into a massive billboard, Adzookie pays your monthly mortgage expenses. Regular houses will get an entire paint job, and for the time the billboards are shown, home-owners get their entire monthly mortgage rate paid for by the company. Adzookie explains the deal on its website:
“Here are a few things we’re looking for. You must own your home. It cannot be rented or leased. We’ll paint the entire outside of the house, minus the roof, the windows and any awnings. Painting will take approximately 3-5 days. Your house must remain painted for at least three months and may be extended up to a year. If, for any reason, you decide to cancel after three months or if we cancel the agreement with you, we’ll repaint your house back to the original colors.”
When interested one can easily apply by filling in a submission form on the Adzookie website. Every submission will be reviewed, and Adzookie will contact you when your home meets the criteria. Although many people would not like to see the houses of their neighbors getting painted Adzookie-yellow-blue, house-owners in problems seem to to be very receptive. Wall Street Journal reports:
“Romeo Mendoza, CEO of Adzookie, said the response has been overwhelming, with some 3,000 applications on Wednesday alone. ‘It’s coming in droves’, he told Developments. ‘We hit a nerve… I knew people needed help, but I didn’t know so many. That’s kind of sad. We can’t help everyone, but we can help some.'”
Adzookie will paint its ads on at least hundred homes, keeping them in place for between three months to a year. After this first year it is possible that other companies might be put forward as advertisers.
