The New Style Mobile Office

pop-up office 2
We’re unlucky to have chosen a name for this blog that is mostly associated with the paper-sort of pop-up architecture. You’ll understand what I mean by this video which contains carefully cutted pieces of paperwork popping out of books when opening. That is great work in general, but not really interesting. This one, however, is nice, because it’s close to finding new solutions for a flexible interior style, or as one of the commentors on Vimeo says: “a new style mobile office”. I feel the same.

Working with more solid materials, this form of pop-up interior design could work perfectly for the re-use of empty office buildings. The 94 x 275 x 200 cm installation, which is designed by by Liddy Scheffknecht and Armin B. Wagner, is entirely made of cardboard and tape. It pretty looks like a simplified variant of Casulo’s room in a box, about which we wrote in January.
