Umbrella-Sharing Service For Students In Vancouver
Using is the new having, aight? The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, also known as the Rainy City, is now offering a free umbrella-sharing service for its students.
UmbraCity has five fully automated kiosks where students can pick up and return their umbrellas at any time. The service is completely free, but in order to borrow an umbrella, you’re required to apply for a membership card first.
If you return the umbrella within two days, the service is completely free. Otherwise there are late fees. Each umbrella has a unique ID, so it can be also returned by someone who didn’t borrow it. The best point, broken and damaged umbrellas can still be brought back for free and are recycled into other products, such as shopping bags.
