This Retreat in the French Alps Brings Co-Working to the Clouds
Cloud Citadel, a 19th-century house in French Alps, offers a comfortable co-living space for mountain-loving digital nomads and remote workers.
Located in Europe’s highest town in the heart of Ecrins National Park and at the foot of one of France’s largest ski resorts, Cloud Citadel offers nomads the perfect balance of work and outdoor activities with the Briançon area focused on winter sports and summer mountain hiking.
Jelena and Joé, the owners of the place, started with the idea of gathering digital nomads who love everything mountain-related and chose the historic, UNESCO protected fortified town to offer the community comfortable housing and productive environment for all their needs. The hosts organise weekly community meetings to see what kind of events or activities people are interested in doing such as Mastermind sessions, various types of workshops, communal dinners, Sunday pancakes or cheese Fridays.
The owners also highlight that the whole place is built upon the idea of co-living, where your work and living space is shared with a group of individuals that have similar lifestyles. Cloud Citadel is directed at people who value freedom and independence while having an active community at hand in a beautiful French surrounding.
