The Green Room

Amsterdam-based artist Leonard van Munster (also known as the man behind this wicked vertical campsite) has made this little movable room completely consisting of green BASF isolation material.

As a consequence of this material and the design, no external heating is needed to make the room a comfortable place to sleep in. For the project, which was initiated by the Cascolab platform, Van Munster worked together with E+S Consultancy and Building, a company specialized in high standard isolation.

The main purpose of the project is to expose the possibilities of high profile isolation material. Future houses can function as energy producers instead of energy consumers. Since last weekend Van Munster’s Green Room is available as an overnight accommodation for visitors.
