Club 11’s Comeback, Part 2
On the last day of December we wrote about the planned comeback of temporary club, restaurant and event space Club 11 Amsterdam. March, Club 11 opens its doors at a new temporary location: the printing plant in the former building of newspapers Het Parool and Trouw at the Wibautstraat.
Some days ago I found some photos on the blog of electronic music label Innervisions, which were made inside the future club. The pictures were taken by dj/producer Kristian Beyer of Âme, which did some great performances in the former Club 11.
“They will use a lot of stuff which is already there to retain the industrial feeling. For me it looks like a crossover between Tate Modern and Berghain. (…) The acoustics is really great. The room is well insulated because of the old loud printing machines. They well use the Funktion One soundsystem from 11 and so everything is set up for a great club. Downstairs there will be space for exhibitions and different stuff.”
