Sexy Tunnel in Amsterdam

MoodwallMedia architecture collective Urban Alliance created ‘The Moodwall’, close to the Amsterdam Bijlmer subway station. The artwork located in a pedestrian tunnel and has the purpose to make this creepy dark tunnel place a bright spot of social interaction and inpiration. The Urban Alliance collective is collaboration of Studio Klink, production company Illuminate, artist Matthias Oostrik and design/construction firm Cube.

The Moodwall is described as a

“…24 metre long interactive light installation in Amsterdam. The Moodwall interacts with people passing by, improving the atmosphere in the tunnel and making people feel happier and safer. The interactive urban wallpaper is made from 2500 LEDs behind a ribbed semi-transparent wall. The curves in the wall make it less vulnerable to graffiti and improve visibility.”
