WiFi To Get G(r)eeks To The Green

The local government of Athens must have been concerned about the pale skin of the local nerds. Flickr user Tribalddb.Athens made these pictures of a park in Athens provided with free wireless Internet. This must be a great stimulance for geeks and other workaholics to visit the city’s green spaces. Actually, I believe this is a very good idea. Mobile working seems to be an exploding phenomena in public space. Cities get overwhelmed with working nomads sitting at stairs, benches and even on the floor to work for a while. To use some populist talk: these people pay taxes as well. The Athens’ policy makers do understand this.
