During the Kyushu Crafts Club exhibition, we’re organising a number of exclusive virtual tours to Japan. A camera crew will take a peek inside the workshops of leading makers on Kyushu and you can join from behind your screen. Explore a day in the life of a maker, watch live how they practise their craft. On Tuesday 15 December, we’re visiting the workshop of Kentaro Kiln in Saga.
One of the most up-and-coming potters in the region, Kentaro Murayama, creates unique and handmade ceramics for use in high-end kaiseki restaurants and sacred tea ceremonies. During the virtual tour you’ll see live how ceramics are made and meet crafsman Kentaro in person. The tour is free to join, but there are only 10 spots available!
