Roofscapes And Hut Architecture

Huts are inspiring, mostly because they remind of childhood. Treehugger reports about this interesting rooftop hut. The sustainable hut is provided with solar panels and natural isolation material.

“The hut contains a sliding glass roof, solar panels, wood-burning stove and sheep’s wool insulation the building takes ideas from both hide-away tree houses and the suburban garden shed, providing nothing more or less than is required for an urban sanctuary.”

Roofscapes can definitely be considered a new spatial frontier, an undiscovered grey desert of pubbles and roof leather. Roofs are built to be never used by humans. Nevertheless, they contain a huge city densifying capacity for sure. The idea to find solutions to re-use the hidden rooftops in a green way is great, and the design is awesome.
