A Bookstore In A Greenhouse

What else can you with a greenhouse, apart from growing disgusting Dutch tomatoes, running a beautiful landscape hotel and simulating an urban farm in Tokyo? Well… in East London, journalist Lydia Fulton runs a very intimate and little bookstore in a greenhouse. From her Greenhouse Bookstore, Fulton encourages readers to check out the latest titles — from limited edition photography monographs to books on contemporary art, design, fashion, advertising and cooking as well as international magazines.

The greenhouse, located right between bulbs, bamboos on an untidy greenery, is also warm and cosy during Winter thanks to a wood burning stove. Wapping’s most loaded greenhouse also hosts small events and other concepts. ‘Hot-house’ debates, intimate tutorials, in-house publishing and the ‘glasshouse choice’ are regular features of this refreshing and sympathetic initiative.
